Freak wind gusts outside the Rose Bowl stadium tore canopies, sent booths and tents flying, and people running in Pasadena, California, on Wednesday, December 31, according to local news reports. The Pasadena Fire Department tweeted that four people were treated on scene for minor injuries. The LA Times quoted the National Weather Service saying it was a cold dust devil, a wind pattern that forms in clear, sunny condition.
