The Houston Cougars will face the Pittsburgh Panthers in the Armed Forced Bowl in an NCAA college football game scheduled for Friday January 2nd.

Pittsburgh improves to 6-6 and became bowl eligible with the 35-23 road victory on November 29th to the Miami Hurricanes as a +10 ½ point wagering underdog. The total went over 56 points. The team has won two straight.

The Panthers were able to hold a 21-13 halftime lead. The team put up 360 yards of offense with 226 rushing on 47 carries for 4.8 yards per carry. Chad Voytik hit on 8 of 12 passes for 134 yards with a touchdown. James Connor had 16 carries for 75 yards and two touchdowns. Neither team committed a turnover.
