A man in Indiana is facing charges connected to intentionally drugging his significant other. 25-year-old Jarod Rebuck admitted to slipping something into his pregnant girlfriend’s drink - on Christmas of all days.
Officials from the Madison County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a home in Fishersburg on the morning of December 25th after receiving a call from the girlfriend. She had smelled something unusual in a beverage Rebuck had made for her.
The woman then became suspicious and probed through his smartphone, which is where she discovered that he searched the internet for “ways to cause a miscarriage.”
Rebuck spoke to investigators and confessed that he was the one who made the Google search. He also admitted to placing something in his pregnant girlfriend’s beverage so she would lose the child.
Reportedly, the herbal supplement, clary sage is the ingredient he chose. It’s something that could potentially cause a miscarriage, as clary sage is known to bring on bleeding and uterine contractions.
Rebuck, who is the father of the unborn baby, is now being held without bond for attempted feticide.
