Sony's 'Interview' sells out cinemas across U.S.

It's a movie some people thought they'd never be able to see.

Washington's small West End Cinema screening of "The Interview" was a sellout on Christmas Day.

Sony initially pulled the movie over security threats linked to Pyongyang --

It then backtracked opening it up to more than 300 independent theaters across the U.S.

The comedy starring Seth Rogen depicts the fictional assassination of North Korean leader Kim Jung Un.

Independent theaters across the nation championed the film as a beacon of free speech.
