2014 is almost over, and there have been some great movies this year. Some were huge event movies, and some were smaller films that you may have missed. Cruz tells you what his favorite were.
Welcome to the first in our series of Best of 2014 Movie Roundup, where each member of the CineFix team tells you his or her very favorite blockbuster and indie film of the year, and why you should see each, if you haven’t already.
For Cruz, it’s 22 Jump Street, a delightful, surprisingly good comedy.

And he really, really, really couldn’t pick his favorite indie of the year. So make sure you check out:
Only Lovers Left Alive, Blue Ruin, The Immigrant, Wild, Dear White People, Boyhood…
Don’t agree with Cruz’s picks? Tune in the rest of the week and next to see what the rest of the CineFix team picked at their favorites of the year.
Have you seen 22 Jump Street, or any of Cruz’s picks for his favorite Indie movie? What was your favorite blockbuster of 2014? What was your favorite indie movie? Did Cruz inspire you to check out a movie that you may have missed this year, or at least give you some titles to look up?
