A donor conference in Berlin brought together top UN officials and ambassadors from countries neighbouring Syria to discuss a new humanitarian appeal for the wartorn country.
The UN plans to launch a new approach to coordinate aid into Syria and neighbouring countries, bringing together emergency and development aid. It requires more than $8bn in funding.
