*It says perfect because someone took my video from YouTube and published it here, so I'm trying to show that I'm the original creator*

The amazing two-week long endeavor to recreate this song by Linkin Park is finally finished. With only a guitar tab to guide me, this was one of the most challenging things I've covered to date, since only about 10% of the song is guitar (the heavy intro sound is synth in this recreation). My rendition of the song also features 4 drum tracks, as well as countless instances of me running my keyboard through guitar pedals such as my wah pedal and distortion pedal. The intro "hi hat", which I've been told is actually a stock Pro Tools metronome sound, is sampled because, as I said, it's supposedly a stock Pro Tools sound.

Equipment used:
Boss DS-1 Distortion Pedal (used on keyboard)
Dunlop Crybaby Wah Pedal (used on keyboard)
Peavey Vypyr VIP 2 40W Amp (guitar and bass)
ESP LTD B-105 Bass
Ibanez GART60 Electric Guitar w/ fuzz
Auxiliary cable for keyboard recording
USB cable for amp-to-computer recodring
NI Massive Software
Audacity (with VST plugins)
Yamaha YPT-300 Keyboard
Hydrogen drum machine software
VirtualDJ software

Samples galore here. The intro sample is actually a lead from my keyboard played as a power chord and run through my distortion pedal. Other synth samples were either made through Massive or manipulated through my keyboard. The scratch sample is the "car" sounding sample from the end. The only guitar in this cover are the bass, guitar 1, which comes in during the break in the intro (0:37) and again in the bridge (3:18), and guitar 2, which play with the keyboard in the bridge starting at 2:57. Everything else is a sample or synth. The "Hey" sample actually comes from the multitrack of Wretches and Kings, with a little pitch shifting.
