Brazilian soccer great Pele said he was in good health in a video recorded at the Sao Paulo hospital where he has been treated for a urinary tract infection.

In the video, released on Friday (December 5), Pele smiled and strummed a guitar with his daughters Flavia Nascimento and Kelly Cristina, and his girlfriend Marcia Aoki by his side, before assuring fans that he had recovered.

"Don't worry," Pele said in English, "Thank you very much. I know everybody worried about my health, but I am ok. Ok? I invite you one more time to come to Brazil, to enjoy the Olympic Games. We are going to participate in the Games together, and prove my health. Thanks God, and thanks everyone who always will pray for me."

Pele added final words of thanks in Portuguese for his fans at home in Brazil, where he is known as "the King".
