Demonstrators took to the streets of some cities on the U.S. west coast to protest a decision made by a grand jury across the country in New York City.
The grand jury decided not to charge a white police officer in the chokehold death of an unarmed black man.
The decision touched off protests in Manhattan, and led to protests in other cities as well.
About 200 people joined a demonstration in Seattle that started at the downtown Westlake Center.
The protest was fairly peaceful with some people staging a "die-in" by lying down in the street.
The crowds were bigger in San Francisco and Oakland.
Protesters carrying banners marched and in some cases cycled down the streets, disrupting traffic.
In Oakland, they were stopped by a line of police officers in riot gear before they could get to the police headquarters.
