A mass demonstration was held in Mexico City on December 1st, rejecting President Enrique Pena Nieto and demanding the safe return of the 43 missing students of Ayotzinapa, Guerrero. Diverse speakers voiced their discontent with the government and the President's ten new proposed laws. Journalist and author Denise Dresser told the crowd, "We are tired of them speaking to us about a state of law, as if it existed...and then they offer us more laws in a country in which the selfsame government is the first one to disobey the law. We are tired of a president who instead of listening, facing the situation and offering concrete solutions, avoids the consequences, dodges the responsibility and offers us another set of laws." teleSUR.
