One man who was successful in acquiring an Olive Garden 7-week, all-you-can-eat pasta pass decided to use it to spread some joy.
Each year, Olive Garden sells a very limited number of passes entitling holders to seven weeks of all the pasta they desire.
Not surprisingly, they’re tough to get a hold of, but one man who successfully acquired one decided to use it to spread some joy.
Rather than just self-indulging, Matt Tribe of Ogden, Utah would drop by the restaurant, pick up food to-go and deliver it to friends and the homeless.
Tribe admits that when he secured the pass he was planning on using it only for himself, until it occurred to him how much happiness he could bring to people if he shared.
After clearing the take-out option with the restaurant, he made a daily habit of doing his good deed.
Said Tribe, “It was super fulfilling because the entire time I was doing this for a month, just about every night, the only thing I was thinking about was who could I take Olive Garden to, who could I do Random Acts of Pasta to, who could I do something nice for.”
By the time his endless pasta perk expired, he’d given away 125 meals.
