Global warming and how to conquer it will be the main topic at a two-week long United Nations Climate Change Conference that opened Monday in Lima, Peru. Representatives of 195 states and many NGOs will participate in the conference which hopes to draft a major climate change accord to be signed next year in Paris, with the agreement slated to take effect in 2020 to replace the Kyoto Protocol. teleSUR
