STORY: Police in Portland, Oregon say they arrested 10 people overnight Saturday into Sunday (November 30) after chaotic scuffles with protesters who had spilled into the streets in solidarity with events in Ferguson, Missouri.
Local media reports the scuffles started after protesters held a march which featured African American activist Jesse Jackson.
Police say they made the arrests after a large group of demonstrators lied down in a street and refused to clear the road.
Police claim a few protesters threw bottles at officers and described the demonstrators as "very confrontational."
Local TV footage showed protesters running from police and one man dancing on top of a police SUV.
