At least 45 people are reported to have been killed in suicide blasts in Nigeria.

The explosions took place in a crowded market in the northern city of Maiduguri; the capital of Borno state and the centre of a militant insurgency.

Witnesses say a teenage girl detonated herself first. Then, as people flocked to help the victims, a second girl blew herself up.
