Israeli authorities yesterday destroyed the home of a Palestinian man who ran over and killed two people at a tram stop last month, actions possibly inspired by yesterday's attack by two Palestinian men on a Jerusalem synagogue which killed four rabbis and a policeman; the attackers were later shot dead by police. Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas condemned the attack and all other violence and called for an end to the occupation.
