Barcelona, 14 Nov (EFE).- Barcelona returned to training Monday after having the weekend off with Belgian Thomas Vermaelen joining his teammates for the first time since injuring himself over three months ago while Martín Montoya was unable to take part as he was sick with fever.
The week's first session saw Luis Suárez back at the club after Uruguay manager Oscar Washington Tabárez allowed the forward to miss their country's friendly against Chile to be played 18 October.
Vermaelen's appearance was not the only one as midfielder Sergi Roberto and central defender Jérémy Mathieu also trained at the same rhythm as their teammates although club doctors have yet to rule either of them fit.
Andrés Iniesta and Rafinha Alcántara followed their personalised programs to recover from their respective muscular problems while Montoya was the only noticeable absence.
Sandro Ramírez, Munir el Haddadi, Sergi Samper and José Suárez from Barça B also joined the session.
