Taylor Swift said she has no female role models in the music industry, and she partly blames that on the fact that singers, like Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Miley Cyrus feel the need to sell themselves as sex objects.

Taylor Swift is one of the most wholesome pop stars out there, and her choice to not sell herself as a sex object seems to be working for her because her new album, 1989, sold over a million copies in its first week of release. However, the “Blank Space” singer is traveling that straight and narrow path alone, as Taylor acknowledges and criticizes the overtly sexual nature of her pop peers in a new interview with Time magazine.

When discussing her reluctance to sell herself as a sex object in her performances and music videos, Taylor Swift seemed to be taking aim at some of her peers, like Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus.
