Violence broke out when an army recruitment camp was cancelled in the Indian city of Gwalior.

Candidates went on a rampage, vandalising stores and setting cars on fire.

Nearly 15,000 people from nearby districts in Madhya Pradesh state had turned up for the recruitment fair.

Police say the event was cancelled because organizers were not equipped to handle the huge turnout.
