I looked through the windowpane in the rain,
And wondered at infinite skies filled with color blue;
Yet it's your pretty-pretty eyes: flashed like lights of blue in my brain,
The Beauty of this pretty girl’s eye is in the sky - blue!
Oh! American Kestrel, at least you carry my love for her!
I looked at the tree casuarinas somewhere,
And Amazed at the bark filled with color brown - I saw there
And remembered the beautiful browness of your hair;
I saw beautiful moon and yet remembered your beauty, oh my dear!
Oh! Scarlet Tanager, at least you carry my love for her!
I watched Jumbo-jet in my TV set, the channel of my choice still,
but I recalled the beautiful countenance of your face with thrill;
I listened to the radio, the station of my choice,
And I heard the beautiful sharpness of your voice;
Oh, American Goldfinch, at least you carry my love for her!
I gazed at the storm in the sky,
And heard the thunder, feared with cowardice sigh,
For you look like lovely rose I said “I love you”,
Yet couldn't withstand to the hurdles, I failed to marry you;
Oh! Flamingo, at least you carry my love for her!
Birds are implored for their colors humans’ lack,
Nature is infinite amusement park with fulfillment that humans rack;
This girl is embodiment of beauty with a sweet pack,
Yet our white livered poet packs off with sugarless sack …..
Oh, Rainbow Lorikeet, at least you carry my love for her!
