Luz Hanaii - I Pierced My Aching Heart At Last

Your love was like a crimson rose
so soft, so pure
it bloomed and shone
for all to see
and many envied me.

My rose seemed to overcome
the pain of winter's cold
the burning rays of poverty.

But like the fragile rose that was
I grasped you to my aching heart too tight
crushing my crimson rose.
Thorns dug at my flesh
piercing my heart
releasing drops of blood
mingled in tears.

I saw my rose
dropp to the ground
crushed by this hands.

In fear to save eternally
what could not be,
I crushed my rose and
pierced my aching heart at last.
