Every time I see thy funeral
I cry and wonder I
Why do I cry?
Is it nostalgia for a true man?
Or is it despair from Arabs’
Miserable condition?
The last time I saw that
Awesome funeral
I cried and prayed
A lot for God to forgive
Thee for ordering
To hang ‘Sayed Kotb',
Not knowing what
Was in Kotob's books.
Before dawn thou came
To me in a vision
Waving and smiling
As if telling me not
To cry out of sadness
For thee; thou are in
A very good situation.
The end of this June,
I am waiting to see
Millions of young and old
Men and women ready
To say no to unfairness;
INJUSTESS,
They are going to wave-
As thou did in many
Occasions – saying
Hello to the new Egypt.
