Death, is at work in each of us.
He devours every element of life
within our mortal body. When he
has had his fill, we shall no longer
be, of earthly matter.
I fear not death, but life. For death
comes unannounced, like the howling
of a December wind and swoops up man,
as he would a dead leaf....and whisks us off into
the great abyss.
