I knew you were leaving...before you left. You were
letting me go...a minute...an hour...a day at a time.
You told me, not in words, but in the withdrawal,
of all which bonded two, as one. Our time together,
no longer, a time of love and caring, but moments
of uncomfortable silence and trite conversation.
I know you were leaving before you left...I just
didn't know how to make you stay.
