Youngling the sand diggers
..................................... work at low tide
Castle and moat support,
................................... flags on the keep
Shell doors, pebbled paths,
................................ trees of kelp drying
Mindless of time they make
.................................... tunnels so deep.
Sand blown and sweaty,
............................ young faces turn red
And soulfully cry when
........................ called home, they yearn
For more wars,
........... bad knights must be beheaded.
Sand memories
.......................... outlive the tide's return.
