just found the last piece
of the heart you shattered

the hard wind did not break it
the long nights of sorrow
never drowned it in the sea of pain
just found it though, it took a while

guess what
someone has mended it
garnished every corner with jewels
varnished the arteries to sparkle bright

know what you’ll say
adoring the diamonds
simply we don’t count in quarts anymore
its simply carats

the years never altered its songs
the tears did not change the face
the naked flames never burned anything
nothing hurts anymore
