Heather Burns - The Untouchable

Long ago
a
silhouette
was
planted
in my
minds
eye.

a face
so
vague

untouchable.

time went
by,
features
emerged

holding
as a
precious
gem

untouchable.

being
tucked away
to a
secret
place.

not to
be
revealed
so

untouchable.

now in
the distance
you
stand

with
a tear
in your
eye.

perhaps
waiting
in
the
balcony

yet
still
so

untouchable.
