Sitting on the porch swing
the sun sitting at our feet

like a big old dog

drinking a Mint Julep
and singing along to

MOONLIGHT SERENADE.

Time too lazy
to even scratch its own behind

stands still
keeps us

forever here

as if here
is the only forever


that ever

is
