she doesn't know who I am
when it comes down to me
I think to myself
we can never be again
I never needed any body
and it won't change now
she said it was fine
but it's the only time
I'd rather break than to bow
strange weather we've had
as the tires lose traction
pushing ninety in the right lane
I'd like to close my eyes
and watch physics
kick into action
I've too much to spare
living for repetition
all the full moons and flower petals
the oceans and ship wrecks
to define my definition
I can't leave them yet
though I try as I might
this world won't give me up
but I put up a fight
