These Four Walls
Have experienced
The late night conversations on the phone
Things I wouldn't share with
Any other living thing
The lies told
Secrets Kept
Friendships made
and relationships ended

For years these four walls have been the place
Where I have enclosed myself numerous amounts of time
Shadowing myself away from the cruelty of this vicious world

These four walls have been the place where I could peel off the layers of deceit to fool others of my self-satisfaction
