ANDREW BLAKEMORE - Songbirds

Songbirds fly and songbirds sing
Such a sense of joy they bring,
The day is new
The sky is blue
Rising sun of morning fair,
Shines the light that shines so bright
Nature wakes and ends the night
I greet the dawn
And feel reborn
And happiness is everywhere.

Songbirds sing and songbirds soar
As mist does drift across the moor,
The ghostly hills
The eerie chills
Gently warm as shadows cry,
Colours grey now colours hue
Sunlight now is shining through,
And so it clears
And dewy tears
Do slowly start to fade and dry.

Songbirds fly and songbirds call
Within the trees that rise and fall,
Sweet air I breathe
While colours weave
Their way inside such harmony,
Willows grow and willows weep
Beside the pastures that do sleep,
Cool waters flow
And breezes blow
Across the land so wild and free.
