How dare you term me
'reality-challenged', simply because
I have a Master of Arts degree, but
neither a credit card nor a telephone?


Not to mention: no automobile, no television,
no personal computer, no DVD player, no microwave.
This list goes on. What have I forgotten?
Oh yes. As of this month, no refrigerator.


In elementary school, one of my teachers
told my mother: 'David is a very strange child.
Very intelligent, but very strange.'


If only she could see me now.
