Every time I close my eyes
I think of you my dear,
Although your image will not fade
I wish you were still here.
Just to see you smile again
To laugh and share a joke,
I cherish every word you said
The final time we spoke.
As you will stay forever young
In turn I must grow old,
Although I cannot touch you now
Your memory I will hold.
Such beauty that you did possess
Your long dark flowing hair,
The warmth within your chestnut eyes
Your skin so soft and fair.
I longed to say I love you
I'll regret this to the end,
Until the time we meet again
My everlasting friend.
