My words
whisper
tickle your belly
fall into
your belly button
lie there
all mixed up.

I write: “I love you! ”
with the tip of my tongue
tantalisingly slowly
across your taut belly
you shiver
with each dried letter.

“Tell me…oh...
...write it again...
...write my name...
...write your name! ”
until drugged
with love

the dawn
smiling upon us
both “pen” & “paper”
fall finally asleep.
