It’s your birthday, my dear friend
And I want to wish the best
So grab a glass of sparkly
Sit down and take a rest

Or perhaps you’d like to dance
To celebrate this happy day
Or eat a hearty scrumptious meal
Find a game you’d like to play

Of course you need a birthday cake
A large one to accommodate
The candles that will flame up high
Yes, they will truly dominate

I know it will take a lot of wind
To blow that big flame out
Here, I will help you with it
No need to rave and shout

I want you to stop everything
Set aside your special occasion
I’ll write this poem just for you
Of the celebratory persuasion!
