This poem is dedicated to Martin Goossens of Zandvoort, Netherlands.
He is my digital brother, an English professor, whom I met through the internet way back in 2003.
I was so alone and thinking just fine
I was not looking for everyone to be mine
I thought friends was just a fabrication
A train that wouldn't stop at my station.
Home alone that was my consignment
And my solitary confinement
So when we met I was getting around you
I didn't know I was looking for a friend like you.
Until I found you through the internet, Sir Martin
With your smile I am released from in vain
They way you talk I do really appreciate
Since the first time we gladly met.
I didn't know I was looking for a friend
Until I found you without forbid
How can I give thanks to the Lord?
That you're here with me nice and good!
No matter how far the distance is
Europe to Asia and vice-versa with a kiss
Philippines to Netherlands is quite a near
Zandvoort and Tacloban, the place we share.
How can I forget a person like you?
With a sweet smile and words are true
A person who values friendship and emotion
In this world which has full of love and affection.
