She stood at the roadside her blood ran cold his entire life flashed before her eyes
First breath first cry first kiss first hug first steps first word first day at school first exam
First date first love first broken heart...first first first...
Now became his last...
Icy splinters, icicles of pain jagged pierced a mothers warm loving tender heart
Now frozen and suspended in this cruel moment that fate had dealt
A mother watches as her sons life drains away into a pool of blood
Flesh of her flesh
A piece of her heart
The life to which she had given birth
He lays in the roadside in the final throes of life
Or is it Death
Mother, mother, the words form on his lips
The very same word that had been his very first were now to be his last
With his head cradled in her lap
Softly delicately tenderly she gazes into his eyes
Only to see the young vibrant life so full of love hope dreams
Gently leave her side
Twenty four years of life love laughter joy pain sorrow anger
Eclipsed darkened extinguished forever
Goodbye my son goodbye my mother
The pain of unbearable but inevitable separation reflected in each Others eyes
In one unfortunate calamitous lamentable moment
He is gone
