(Dodgy Dave Tale) A Hard Boiled Egg In Disguise


Many years ago starts this tale here.
When Dave just married his lovely dear.
His father worked in a warehouse with sweets,
and he gave his son Dave a solid treat.

This treat looked like a real egg you see.
A hard boiled one but solid and sweet.
Now you all know David's fame.
He's known for playing games.

So let me set the stage here.
April Fool's Day was near.
Dave would surprise his new wife,
with a hard boiled egg that wasn't quite right.

He gave his wife breakfast in bed.
Toast, tea and the sweet egg instead.
Then he left his bride unaware,
crept out of the room to listen there.

She took her spoon to crack this sweet.
Thinking it was a hard boiled treat.
Nothing happened, she hit it somemore.
Dave was listening outside the door
(He's trying to hold in his laughs and not roar)

Next, she tries the edge of her plate.
But cracking the egg was not her fate.
Dave still laughing, had to rush in,
and save the plate from cracking within.

The tales not over though.
Weeks later for another show.
Dave and his kids tried to break the egg up.
It took a 7lb lump hammer and 1/2 hour of luck.

I don't know about you my friend.
But I would be suspicious in the end.
If I received anything from Dave
