My brown cat Buttercup has always managed.
She is what some would call very disadvantaged.
She has a birth defect; her back legs do not function.
Her oddity could be considered a serious malfunction.

She has a soft gentle meow and a pleasant disposition.
She has learned to compensate and has lots of ambition.
Her size is small, but her front legs are super strong,
She is not stationary; she easily pulls herself along.

She does not need an elevator; her goal is achieving.
She receives many double takes from the disbelieving.
When it is time to descend down the steep stairway…
Watch your step while she leads ahead all the way.

With perfect balance she does a paw stand to behold.
She is like an Olympic gymnast as she captures the gold.
It is a masterful technique that displays excellence and poise.
Don’t hold back; give Buttercup some hand clapping noise.
