this demonic sound crawled from the poets brain
out of his deaf left ear and onto the floor
where through a bizarre meiosis it produced
what could only be rhetorically understated
as the latest release of greatest hits
by a spiritual artist or group.......
reaching for the wireless volume control......
he tried to silence what had by now
set the mad dogs outside his door to growling
as the smell of blood and red meat
permeated the room of bottled spirits half emptied
in his unquenchable thirst for acceptance by his peers
all of whom were busy writing their first book of prose
as translated and provided to them by his ex-muse Beatrice
who herself had severed all existing ties with him a year prior
to his eventual excommunication and exorcism
by the bias and liberal seventh circuit court of appeals
she eventually sued him for every word he had ever written
whereby he exiled her from all of his many poems.....
it was because of his inattention to the detailed writings of Homer
she had become enraged......
while he would weep for all the suffering souls in hell
he would then rip her to shreds over a lack of originality......
hence his sins were an obstruction to truth and light
and would produce only the dark sounds of demonic possession
as recorded for posterity by an allegorically demented individual
with suicidal tendencies towards killing his twin

the poet must eventually digress......back into the womb
where all poetry is born in a life after death............
