Thanks to my friend, Jerry, from down under,
I now have a new view!
I am so glad he had
A point to share, or two!

'He is glad, ' he said,
'that pencils have erasers,
but also that they
Have lead and sharp points,

Because this way,
We can right our Writes,
And right our wrongs, or make a point,
Or write apologies to someone dear,

Or pen a note
To someone we love,
To tell them just why
We wish they were near

So, this prayer continues,
To you, my Father,
In grateful appreciation,
For pencils with sharp lead and erasers!
