Instead of telling me who I should love
Ask what I want to be
Ask what I do to feel above

Understand me for all that I enjoy
Try to genuinely care
Instead of telling me to be with a boy
Try to imagine yourself with my burden to bare.

I am not ashamed of me and her
But there is far more to me than this
