In a very ugly lawn
Stood a pail from dusk to dawn
That old pail was touched by none
But the brightly shining sun
That very mysterious pail
Was found by little Abigail
That pail Abigail dug in
From here this story will begin
After two years that ancient pail
Was found again by Abigail
But the poor little Abigail
Didn’t remember that old pail
The pail had no mystery
But a tale, its history
Long ago there lived a king
Who’s name was Ardfaar Lirfing
Ardfaar Lirfing hated gold
Its reason by all is told
The king and queen went out to walk
When on the queen fell a huge gold rock
That was the end of the poor queen
Whose body was never seen
From now on he hated gold
To everyone he always told
Never show gold before my eyes
Whoever does in my hands dies
Ardfaar’s crown is in the pail
That’s the tale behind the pail.
