Day after day, i slave over your past
Trying to wash it up
I wash it, i dry it, i iron and fold it
But it isn't ever enough
Every single day, for hours in each
I try to iron out the creases
But you keep screwing it up!
You keep ripping my work to pieces
I tried to help you out, girl
I tried to understand, friend
I figured you out though, now
Now I know this is the end
But i keep trying
Day after day
To help you change your past
But you stay the same
So why do i keep doing your laundry?
Because i love you, and i don't know why
You've hurt me, you've scarred me, you've burned me bad
But I'll forgive you again. One last time.
