and all the men and women merely players?
All the bustle! We dare not stall.
Curtains rise and curtains fall;
where are our hearts? We dare not look.
Trampled somewhere underfoot.
Men and women everywhere;
hide the daggers in your stare!
For the curtains cover not our hearts
Hush, be still; and let 'Life' start.
With it the glamour, with it the pain
(oh, we actors are insane!)
rise the velvet curtains now.
Show business; what it's all about.
We play it now, we played it then
regardless of our age. We
played this game of 'Life' because
'All the World's a Stage'.
