I sit and watch the seagulls swoop and soar;
without a care, they’re free to float and fly.
I came alone to sit upon this shore.
All thoughts and cares serenely drift on by;
the bay spreads out before me as I gaze;
without a care, they’re free to float and fly.
A distant lighthouse fades into the haze,
as April’s sun has yet to warm the sea.
The bay spreads out before me as I gaze.
Alone I am and free to simply be.
The sand beneath my feet still damp and cold,
as April’s sun has yet to warm the sea.
The setting sun - a beauty to behold;
I let my worries drift off into space.
The sand beneath my feet still damp and cold;
I take a cue from all around this place -
and sit and watch the seagulls swoop and soar.
To let my worries drift off into space,
I came alone to sit upon this shore.
