Quietly you go
Soft angel feathers
Envelope your soul
Carrying you away from us
We are left to piece together why we stay
And why you had to go

Softly you take leave
As your soul ascends
All pain trickles to earth
Shed back to us in the form of rain and snowflakes
We remember our loved one and friend

Gently you disappear
When our minds pass too
So shall the memory of you
Tender quiet soul
I hope that with you someday
I will quietly go
