Small Tree
Thrown in the ground, soaked from top to bottom.
Growing every day, taller and taller,
Bigger and wider.
Soon looking out far as far as the eye can see.
Surrounded by the same and different species,
as days go by friends are made,
enemies aren’t to be seen.
Thrown down my leaves again but times aren’t tough for long.
As summers bright light falls upon my bear branches
Life is jolted back into my lifeless body.
The noise, I’ve never heard it before.
Its coming closer, people, machines,
There is no getting away.
Enemies are killing my friends,
I want to fight back but I cant.
It is hopeless, no light at the end of the tunnel.
