Dr John Celes - Sonnet: Intra-marital Love

Love is so sacred in our earthly life;
Each one prefers a partner of his choice;
It is a gamble in selecting one’s wife;
Consummated marriage has woes and joys.

No man can pry into the other’s heart;
Contours mislead him into the wrong choice;
Choosing spouse is a computerized art;
Dejected is man when he should rejoice.

Levels of wealth decide today’s marriage;
Long ’fore or after is of no import;
Arranged or love, marriage is a carriage!
Drawn by yoked oxen or horses with forte.

Love in wedlock is but understanding;
’Tis a plane taking off or in landing.
