Terry Donovan - The Christmas Carol.

A Christmas carol she had never sung
For her religion took a different road
And only Muslims did she live among
And she was brought up with a different code.
But when she practiced everyone agreed
That it was truly suited to her voice,
To join in things at school she had a need
And singing in the choir was her choice.
They all looked forward to the very day
When they would be proud parents in the hall;
They wouldn't join in, wouldn't sing or pray
But their daughter singing they knew they'd recall.

They knew politically this was incorrect -
But what the heck! It showed they had respect.
