Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of WWF Super WrestleMania for the SEGA Genesis developed by Sculptured Software and published by Flying Edge. Before WWE games like Royal Rumble and Raw, there was Super WrestleMania. Released for both the SEGA Genesis and Super NES, and each with its own unique roster, this game served as the blueprint for many early 1990s wrestling games. The game’s roster features a mix of 1980s stars and up-and-comers from WWE’s New Generation era, from Hulk Hogan and “Macho Man” Randy Savage to Shawn Michaels and “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith. Every wrester has the same moves, but they also have one unique signature maneuver. Hogan drops the leg, Savage drops the elbow and HBK does his pre-superkick finisher—the teardrop suplex. WWF Super WrestleMania includes single-player and local multiplayer play. This video review features video gameplay footage of WWF Super WrestleMania for the SEGA Genesis and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
